Welcome to Lee Baker, a bakery that brings you the finest buttermilk dippers, baked with love and real ingredients in Calgary, Alberta.

I grew up in a family where recipes were sacred — shared, treasured and, of course, altered along the way until they became our own. Over the years, those recipes came together in our very own family recipe book, filled with the flavours and memories that have been passed around our kitchen for generations.

In our home, there has always been something freshly baked on the table, and some of our best family moments happen in the kitchen. I started baking our family’s holiday cookies before I could read, and that love of baking has stayed with me ever since.

 

Today, my bakery feels much the same. The kettle whistles every hour, the smell of something baking fills the air, and the dipper jar is always full.

My journey started in Canada with a corporate job and baking in the evenings. The dream of owning a bakery kept me going while the baking filled the house with a rich buttery scent. Soon new friends and neighbors returned their empty tins and asked when am I baking dippers again...

 

I took a big leap of faith, to do what I love, and my bakery, Lee Baker was born.​
