Meet the Baker

Welcome to Lee Baker, a bakery that brings you the finest buttermilk dippers, baked with love and real ingredients in Calgary, Alberta.

I grew up in a family where recipes were sacred, shared and altered, so we created our own family cookbook. There is always a baked treat on the table and family time happens in the kitchen. I started baking the family holiday cookies before I could read. In my bakery kitchen, the kettle whistles every hour, baking scents fill the air and the dipper jar is always full.

My journey started in Canada with a corporate job and baking in the evenings. The dream of owning a bakery kept me going while the baking filled the house with a rich buttery scent. Soon new friends and neighbors returned their empty tins and asked when am I baking dippers again...

 

I took a big leap of faith, to do what I love, and my bakery, Lee Baker was born.​
